Mahesh Babu’s Athidi releasing worldwide in 712 theaters on 18th October. This is going to be highest ever print and theater release. This film is hitting the screens on the eve of Vijaya Dasami. Amrita Rao plays female lead. Athanokkade fame Surender Reddy directs it. G Ramesh Babu produces it. UTV is releasing the film all over Andhra Pradesh.

Can a gal teach hero Mahesh Babu how to smoke a cigarette? Heroine Amrita Rao made such an attempt. When they were together in a shot, Mahesh Babu pretended his ignorance in smoking. Though director took all pains to explain him, he behaved like a novice. Amrita Rao took away cigarette from Mahesh Babu and took deep puffs to make Mahesh Babu understand. Mahesh Babu still wore a blank look and Amrita Rao smoke the entire cigarette. Mahesh Babu later started kidding Amirta Rao by smoking another cigarette with amazing ease as chain smoker.

Tollywood hearthrob MAHESH BABU has not done a remake of any movie so far,though his movies were remade in other languages. Now POKIRI  is going to remade in Hindi. We people come to know that in Hindi version it is going to be starred SALMAN KHAN.

MAHESH BABU is likelyto do the remake version of the movie “Azahagita Tamil Magan”, a VIJAY  starrer. Many films of VIJAY were remade in Telugu become huge hits like Suswagatham..Kushi…and Annavaram.

BIG 92.7 FM, Hyderabad announces its exclusive Radio partnership with the upcoming and much looked forward to Tollywood movie ‘Athidhi’. Directed by Surender Reddy, the movie features famous actor Mahesh Babu and Bollywood actress Amrita Rao along with Malaika Arora Khan who is doing item number opposite Mahesh Babu in the film. September 27th 2007 will see the exclusive premiere of the music album on BIG 92.7 FM’s Breakfast show – BIG Sandadi with RJ Sekhar.

BIG 92.7 FM has exhaustive on-air and on-ground plans for the BIG Movie Athidhi in order to create unprecedented buzz. BIG 92.7 FM started the promotion of the movie by exclusively premiering teasers of the music starting September 23. On September 27th all songs of the movie will premier for the first time on radio exclusively on BIG 92.7 FM.

The Station will feature interviews with the cast and crew of the movie and also run contests for its listeners across Hyderabad, Tirupathi and Vishakapatnam to get a chance to meet “Prince” Mahesh Babu.

The music of Athidi, starring Mahesh babu, is set for a grand release on September 16, according to sources. Produced by Ramesh Babu and directed by G Surender Reddy, the film suffered inordinate production delays and re-shooting. Mani Sharma scores the music. However, not much is known about the film’s progress except that Amrita Rao, ace model and Bollywood actress makes her Tollywood debut in this film. Currently, some action scenes are being shot in the city outskirts. It is expected to release the movie by Dasara.
