Sushmita Sen, the first Indian to win the Miss Universe 1994 was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Sushmita’s father is a retired Indian Air Force officer; her mother Subhra Sen worked as a fashion artist and jewelery designer. She has one brother, Rajeev Sen, and a sister, Neelam Sen. Her sister married IT consultant Nauman Malik. She stepped into the film industry from the world of fashion. The charming, gorgeous Sushmita Sen with a fascinating smile has beautiful eyes and a tall, perfect figure. Though very talented, till now she didn’t get an opportunity to prove herself as a successful actress. This brilliant, down to earth personality has much more than a beautiful face. Sushmita Sen enjoys writing prose and poetry and likes instrumental music. She is very fond of children and has adopted a baby girl whom she has named Renee. Her first movie, Dastak in 1996, but it didn’t do well at Box office. After 2 years gap she appeared in David Dawan’s Movie Biwi No. 1 She won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award in the year 2000. Her most recent movies include Karma, Confessions and Holi (2006) opposite Naomi Campbell, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (2007) and the recently announced Dulha Mil Gaya (2007) opposite Shahrukh Khan.
